Ok, here are the pictures I took from the wedding.  Obviously I was a little busy, so I might have missed a few things, but here’s my perspective:

Wedding Week – Saturday April 14th – Morning

On Saturday as the girls headed over to the Salon for some pampering, the boys went down to shoot some stuff.  I want to thank the rest of the team for throwing their game so I could get the high score on my big day!

Wedding Week – Friday April 13th

One day to go!  We had the rehearsal at the zoo and then headed over to Ski Beach in Mission Bay for the rehearsal dinner.  A little pizza and beer from Oggis, a beautiful sunset, and then fireworks for those who stuck it out!

Wedding Week – Thursday April 12th

April 23, 2007

Ok, Thursday was a pretty calm day.  Lunch at the Red Robin with some folks from work so Dale could catch up with everyone, pick up the tuxes, out to La Jolla to catch the 15 foot waves the wind was kicking up, then a little dinner at On The Border.

Wedding Week – Wednesday April 11th

April 23, 2007

Brooke and Debbie

Well, I’ve got a lot to share, so I figured I’d take it one day at a time.  Our first big event of the wedding week was the Padres vs. San Francisco Giants game on Wednesday.   Several friends and family members had late afternoon flights, but everyone made it to the ballpark in time to see the game and boo Barry Bonds when he got up to bat.  And the Padres even managed to win!

Things to do in San Diego

April 1, 2007

Some folks have asked for suggestions on things to do here, so we’ve put together a short list below:

San Diego Zoo – Obviously a favorite. You can spend anywhere from an hour to a whole day here.

San Diego Wild Animal Park – Run by the zoo, it is very cool but a much different feel from the zoo. There are many more wide open spaces with a “safari” feel.

Sea World – Multiple marine life exhibits, including their star Shamu. Many other activities including a water park for the kids, rides and shows.

Legoland – Amazing displays built out of actual legos, including a scale model of Las Vegas that just opened this week. Rides are appropriate for kids 5-12 years old.

Beaches – Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, or our favorite La Jolla Shores. Torrey Pines State Park is also great for hiking above the cliffs along the ocean.

Balboa Park – The location of the zoo, but there are also many museums and open park land.

Seaport Village and Old Town – These are both a bit “touristy” but have fun shops and restaurants to explore.

Coronado – Just across the Coronado Bay Bridge from downtown, many cool restaurants, shops, and the historic Hotel Del Coronado.

Tijuana – For those who want to go south of the border, Tijuana is about a 30 minute drive. Don’t call us for bail money…

Wine Tasting – There are many great wineries in Temecula, too many to list here but Wilson Creek is one of our favorites! The Orfilia Winery in Escondido is good too, and a little closer to SD.

Los Angeles – Too many to list, including Disneyland, Six Flags, and more just two hours away.

Getting around:

The easiest way is by car, but there are several alternatives:

Balboa Park Tram: This is a “trolley” that visits many different tourist destinations
Old Town Trolley: Similar to Baloa Park Tram, provides “on and off” service to many locations.
San Diego trolley: San Diego’s version of the subway. Somewhat limited in destinations, it is fairly dependable where it does go. Good alternative for going to Tijuana.

Hope this helps. Have fun!
